Celebrating Secondhand September: My Preloved Packing List for Bali
18 secondhand treasures I packed in my suitcase!
As someone who’s deeply passionate about secondhand fashion, it feels only right to celebrate Secondhand September by highlighting the preloved gems that made their way into my suitcase for my Bali trip.
If you're unfamiliar with Secondhand September, it was started by OXFAM as a month-long initiative to encourage more mindful shopping habits and take a stand against the environmental impact of fast fashion. With the fashion industry accounting for so much waste and depletion of resources, this movement is a simple yet powerful way for us all to slow down and consider alternative, planet-friendly ways to build our wardrobes.
I knew I had packed a fair few secondhand pieces for the holiday, but when I took a closer look at my packing list, I was pleasantly surprised to see that over 40% of my clothes and shoes were preloved—many of them sourced from Depop, my absolute go-to for scoring unique, sustainable finds. I’m always on the lookout for that perfect item to add to my collection, and secondhand shopping has given me the thrill of treasure hunting, while supporting a more circular approach to fashion.
So, here’s a look at all the pieces I packed and how I’ve styled each one…
Dissh stone shorts + Assembly Label linen crop top
Lee Jeans denim shorts + Assembly Label shirt + Tevas
Assembly Label boyfriend jeans + ASOS leopard print tie top
Faithful the brand linen pants
Anine Bing tee + CottonOn PJ style pants
Assembly Label striped shirt
Seed Heritage cropped pants
Daughters of India dress
St Agni mobile phone bag
Dissh linen pencil skirt + Levi’s black trucker jacket
Varley sweater + Arket cloud jeans
I hope you enjoyed this roundup of all my secondhand holiday clothes, here’s to celebrating preloved fashion this September and beyond. If you’re curious about my Bali wardrobe, stay tuned for a detailed more look on what I packed and check out my insta for OOTD posts!
