Everything I wore last week | 27
In a week where I wasn’t feeling 100%, getting dressed made all the difference (even if it didn’t feel like it at the time!)—& I wore a dress I’m completely crushing on!
Hello lovely readers!
If I’m being honest, this didn’t feel like my strongest week for getting dressed (at least Monday through Thursday). I had zero energy, felt totally average, and putting on an outfit—let alone taking a picture—was the last thing on my mind.
But as I sit down to write this weekly outfit roundup and look back at what I actually wore, it didn’t feel quite as average as I thought. It’s a reminder that getting dressed really does have a positive impact on your mood—even if you end up wearing the same outfit two days in a row!
I wrapped up the week in style with what can only be described as an epic dress! This stunning shirt dress, kindly gifted by Bohemian Traders, was the perfect way to kick off the long weekend—enjoying delicious food and wine at a winery with the family. A definite high note to end the week on!
Anyway, I’ll let you be the judge of whether it was an average week—let’s dive straight into the details behind the looks!
MONDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = LINEN MAXI SKIRT ➕ VEST ➕ SANDALS
Outfit Details…I woke up feeling a bit average, but in the spirit of dressing to feel better, I reached for my maxi linen skirt—the same one I styled last week and loved. This time, I decided to try something different by pairing it with my black Dissh linen vest. I’d saved plenty of inspo before buying the vest, and the polished look came together perfectly as soon as I put it on!
I added my chunkier black sandals (which I hadn’t reached for in a while), simple gold jewellery, and my chocolate brown suede tote for a bit of texture. Although I didn’t end up leaving the house, I’ll definitely be repeating this look—it deserves a proper outing!
TUESDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = STRIPED PANTS ➕TANK

Outfit Details…I was still feeling pretty average on Tuesday 🤢 so in the spirit of sharing the outfits I really wear, I spent most of the morning in my PJs. Getting up and dressed was the last thing I wanted to do, but after binge-watching the rest of the new Queer Eye series (I thought I’d hate it after Bobbie left, but honestly, Jeremiah has stolen my heart—he’s my new fave! Anyone else?!), I managed to pull myself together and throw on a comfy outfit.
These pants from Daughters of India are honestly some of the comfiest I own—lightweight, soft, and perfect for a low-energy day. I paired them with a black tank (a go-to combo I’ve worn before, so I knew it would work!), and that was that! Sometimes keeping it simple is just what you need.
WEDNESDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = WIDE LEG JEANS ➕KNITTED VEST ➕SANDALS
Outfit Details…I was feeling marginally better on Wednesday, so I worked from home—which called for a comfy yet work-appropriate outfit that still looked polished for Teams calls. The weather was a bit cooler than it has been lately (we’ve been spoiled with the best summer in Melbs!), so I took the opportunity to wear my wide-leg relaxed jeans.
I paired them with a knitted vest from Dissh that I picked up on Depop before Christmas—such a great find! And when I needed to pop out, I slipped on my rose gold Saltwater sandals (the first ones I grabbed from the cupboard!). Not too much thought went into this but I definitely felt better for getting ready!
THURSDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = WIDE LEG JEANS ➕ KNITTED VEST➕ CONVERSE
Outfit Details…I don’t often wake up dreading the thought of getting ready, but Thursday was one of those days. After a rubbish night’s sleep and still not feeling great from this lingering bug, I was absolutely shattered.
While I’m a big advocate for outfit repeating, it’s pretty rare for me to wear the exact same outfit two days in a row—Thursday was the exception! I reached for my Arket wide-leg jeans and Dissh knitted vest again because I knew it was comfy, effortless, and required zero brainpower. The only change? I swapped my rose gold Saltwater sandals for my black Converse high-tops.
I even polled both outfits on my Insta stories, and Wednesday’s version came out as the favourite—what do you think?
FRIDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = LINEN PANTS ➕ STRIPED CROPPED TEE ➕ CARDIGAN ➕ SANDALS
Outfit Details…. By Friday, I was finally starting to feel like myself again, and I couldn’t wait to pick out an outfit—I knew I was back, baby! That said, I still kept things super comfortable for a day WFH.
I reached for my black wide-leg linen pants, which I hadn’t worn in a while. With their elasticated waist, they were the perfect choice. To keep things feeling a little more elevated, I paired them with my striped cropped tee (because stripes always add that extra something, don’t they?). For accessories, I went with warm brown tones: my Sezane Gaspard cardigan, brown sandals, and my leather Madewell tote.
I love how it all came together—simple, comfy, and polished!
SATURDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = DRESS ➕ SANDALS

Outfit Details…It was a long weekend here in Australia, so we decided to head out to the Yarra Valley (wine country) and booked lunch at one of our favorite wineries. It was the perfect spot to enjoy delicious food and wine while the kids roamed freely around the beautiful grounds—total bliss!
I took the opportunity to wear something a little bit special, and I instantly knew the perfect dress for the occasion. This stunning shirt dress from Bohemian Traders (a sustainable Aussie brand) was kindly gifted to me, and it struck the ideal balance between elevated and comfortable. The print is even prettier in real life, and the teal detailing on the collar and buttons is such a gorgeous touch. You know you’ve found a winner when multiple people comment on how beautiful your dress is! It felt so good to wear something that made me feel put-together and confident.
SUNDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = TEE➕SHORTS ➕ SANDALS
Outfit details…Sunday was spent trying to tackle the never-ending housework (does anyone else feel like it’s impossible to keep up with when you have kids?!). I didn’t feel like putting in a lot of effort but knew I needed to get dressed so the day didn’t feel like a total write-off.
I opted for an earthy-toned look with my Sezane Conrad tee in rust, paired with some old black linen shorts and my trusty Assembly Label sandals. When I had to pop out to run a few errands, I added some gold jewellery to elevate this super simple outfit.
That’s a wrap on this week’s Substack! Thank you so much for reading and following along—I hope it’s sparked some outfit inspiration for the week ahead. If you know someone who could use a little effortless, repeatable style inspo, feel free to share this Substack with them. Your support means the world!
Until next time!
