Everything I wore last week | 32
Last week’s style diaries focussed on bearing the Melbourne heat in effortlessly WFH looks & the dreamiest dress for Friday night
Hello lovely readers!
Last week, I found myself feeling a little indecisive with my outfit choices. Maybe it’s the change in seasons (even though the weather is still holding onto summer!), or perhaps it’s just a busy period at work throwing me off. Who knows?
Looking back, a few outfits really stood out—like my beautiful Bohemian Traders dress (honestly, even more stunning in real life!) and my Sunday day-trip look featuring my go-to denim shorts and linen vest combo. Others could use a bit of tweaking for next time—Monday’s PJ-style pants and knitted vest, for example, didn’t quite hit the mark but I loved that I was experimenting a little with my wardrobe!
Anyway, here’s a full recap of what I wore last week—let me know which outfits you loved!
MONDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = PJ STYLE PANTS ➕ KNITTED VEST➕ SNEAKERS
Outfit Details…. I woke up feeling inspired to play around in my wardrobe—I’ve been saving endless Adidas SL72 sneaker outfit inspo and wanted to create something a little more playful. Since I was working from home, comfort was key, and with the slightly cooler temps, I took the chance to style my cotton PJ-style pants with a grey knitted vest. I leaned into rich, dark chocolate brown accessories, tying them back to the sneakers for a more cohesive feel. I liked how it came together, but I’m excited to experiment further—maybe layering a tee under the vest next time for a fresh twist or a different colour pants.
TUESDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = MIDI SKIRT➕LINEN CROPPED CAMI ➕ LEATHER JACKET ➕ SANDALS

Outfit Details…I was kindly gifted this beautiful Ponteville skirt from Review, and I’ve been so excited to style it! The asymmetric waistband adds just the right amount of interest, making it a standout piece.
I paired it with my Not Perfect Linen top in moss green—a favourite in my wardrobe—keeping the rest of the look grounded with black accessories. To finish it off, I added a black leather jacket for an edgier feel, and I absolutely loved how it all came together!
WEDNESDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = MAXI LINEN SKIRT ➕ TEE ➕ DENIM JACKET ➕ SANDALS
Outfit Details…I was feeling indecisive about what to wear for a day in the office, so I went straight to my Indyx app for inspiration from past outfits. My $25 Depop find—a linen maxi skirt—has been a hero piece this year, so building a look around it was an easy choice. I kept it simple with a white tee, an oversized black denim jacket, and black sandals, finishing with a leather bag to pull it all together. Sometimes, the best outfits are the ones you don’t overthink!
THURSDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = LEGGINGS ➕ STRIPED CROPPED TEE ➕ SWEATER ➕SNEAKERS
Outfit Details… by Thursday, the workweek felt long, and I was well and truly over it. When I feel this way, a beach walk is my reset button—the fresh air and ocean views always do the trick. Anyone else?
Knowing I’d be heading out, I kept things comfy in my Lululemon Align leggings, a cropped striped tee, and my New Balance 327s, with a black crewneck sweater draped over my shoulders. I fully intended to change when I got home, but back-to-back meetings took over, and honestly? I was so comfortable, I just rolled with it!
FRIDAY
Day look
OUTFIT FORMULA = DENIM SHORTS ➕ STRIPED TEE➕ SANDALS
outfit details, Republic of Florence crossbody bag*
Outfit Details…Friday was a scorcher, and with a mountain of work still to get through before the long weekend, my outfit was all about ease. I reached for my go-to denim shorts—zero thought required—and to elevate the look just a little, I paired them with my black-and-white striped tee. Tan sandals and a crossbody bag pulled everything together effortlessly.
Not the most groundbreaking outfit, but comfy, practical, and exactly what I needed for the day!
FRIDAY
Dinner look
OUTFIT FORMULA = MAXI SKIRT DRESS ➕ SANDALS
outfit details, Bohemian Traders Mabel shirt dress*
Outfit Details…Friday night, my husband and parents and I went out for a beautiful meal at a local restaurant—such a treat! This Bohemian Traders dress was kindly gifted, and I’d been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it. With the temps still soaring past 30°C during the day but cooling off by the evening, it felt like the right moment to finally take it out.
Honestly, this dress speaks for itself, so I kept the accessories simple—brown sandals and a crossbody bag, letting the dress do all the talking. I already can’t wait to style it for autumn—just imagine it with brown suede boots and a textured bag!
SATURDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = DRESS ➕ SANDALS

Outfit Details…I was so ready for the long weekend, and what better way to spend it than wandering through a gorgeous craft market, picnicking in the sunshine, and ending the day with a paddleboard at the beach—pure bliss!
I wore one of my favourite summer dresses from Daughters of India (making the most of these while the heat lasts!). Mini dresses have been my go-to on scorching days—they feel effortless and keep you cool at the same time. I paired this beautiful navy one with my rose gold Saltwater sandals and a large rattan tote, perfect for a relaxed summer day.
SUNDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = DENIM SHORTS➕ LINEN VEST ➕ SANDALS
Outfit details…On Sunday, we took another day trip—this time to Phillip Island (just 1.5 hours from Melbourne)—making the most of our last full day with my parents before they flew back. It was another beautiful day spent exploring, with coffee stops, a stunning lunch overlooking Western Port Bay, and a wander around Nobbies, where we even spotted a few little penguins and wallabies!
With little time to think about an outfit, I turned to my Indyx app for a quick pick and landed on a favourite: my Dissh stone-wash denim shorts (a great Depop find!) paired with my linen Dissh vest for a slightly more elevated lunch look. I kept things simple with brown sandals, a large tote, and my Arms of Eve hat—an absolute must in the heat!
