Recapping January Outfits with Indyx
What I Wore in January: Favourite Looks, Most-Worn Pieces & My Latest Wardrobe Additions
I received such a lovely response to my recent post about my experience with the Indyx app, so I thought it would be fun to start a monthly outfit recap using the app.
January always feels like a month of fresh starts—new routines, new goals, and a chance to reflect on what works (and what doesn’t). This year, I used the Indyx app to track my outfits, and it’s been a game-changer in helping me understand my style choices. From school drop-offs to city outings and errand-filled days, here’s a look back at what I wore in January and the insights I gained.
Most-Worn Items of the Month
I’ve been loving the Indyx app for tracking my wardrobe, and these pieces were the backbone of my January outfits—perfectly balancing comfort and style.
Favourite Outfits
Here are some of the looks I loved most this month:
New Wardrobe Additions for January
This year, I’ve started keeping a list of all my new wardrobe additions—both bought and gifted—as a way to stay mindful and avoid unnecessary purchases. This is where I’ll share what I’ve added to my wardrobe and the reasoning behind each piece.
In January, I felt really content with my summer wardrobe and didn’t feel like I ‘needed’ anything. That said, I did add two items I absolutely love…
HUNZA G SWIMSUIT
When I reached for my black Bondeye swimsuit, I noticed the elastic at the back had completely gone. I suspect it happened during our water park adventures in Bali. Living in Australia, a good swimsuit is an absolute must, so I knew I needed a replacement. I’ve been eyeing UK brand Hunza G for ages, and I finally picked one up brand new on Depop. Honestly, the fit is incredible! The one-size super stretchy material is a game-changer—I never have to worry about it not fitting. I’m not sure I could go back to anything else now!
BOHEMIAN TRADERS SHIRT DRESS
When this sustainable Aussie brand reached out about a gifted collaboration, I was beyond excited! I’m very selective with gifted items—I only say yes if it’s a brand I’d genuinely buy from and an item I’d actually wear. This was an easy yes on both counts! The Saarinen waisted shirt dress is an absolute beauty, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for a winery lunch.
Recapping what I wore in January has been such a fun process, and the Indyx app made it so much easier! Summer dressing can be tricky for me since there’s no hiding behind layers, but this year, I’ve felt really confident pulling together outfits that made me feel great. January was all about learning and refining my style and thanks to Indyx, I now have a clearer idea of what works for me and where I want to take my wardrobe next.

Such a great post with lots of inspiration! I especially loved seeing your most worn pieces! These are so telling of our honest (and not aspirational) personal style. Love it!
I love using Indyx and logging it has become just part of my normal routine. Loved seeing your most worn items even though seeing all the summer things while I am in a very cold scotland is just making me long for August!
