Everything I wore last week | 33
Style diaries from the past week—summer looks still on heavy repeat & a maxi skirt + knitted vest that have completely stolen my heart.
Hello lovely readers!
How’ve you been? If you caught my Everything I Wore Last Week post, you’ll know I was feeling a bit indecisive about my wardrobe choices. But this past week, I finally felt more content with what I wore. It’s still sweltering in Melbourne—autumn feels like a distant dream—but I’m embracing these last few weeks of warm weather by making the most of my favourite summer pieces and repeating outfits I loved throughout the season. So, here’s a full recap of what I wore last week—let me know which outfits stood out to you!
MONDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = LINEN SHIFT DRESS ➕ SANDALS

Outfit Details…. Monday was a public holiday in Melbourne, and the sun was shining—something I never saw when I lived in the UK! It was a bittersweet day, though, as it marked the final hours of my parents' visit before I drove them to the airport in the afternoon. Saying goodbye never gets easy.
In the morning, we had a lovely brunch at a Byron Bay-inspired café near us, followed by a stroll down to the beach for some last photos together. The temperature soared above 30°C, so I kept cool in a white linen mini shift dress from Montaigne Paris (previously gifted). The simple yet elegant silhouette meant I could keep the rest of my outfit minimal—just a tan tote bag, sandals, and my signature gold jewellery. Surprise (and delight!)—I somehow kept the dress pristine all day… until an after-dinner ice cream stop, when the toddler dropped raspberry sorbet right on it!
TUESDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = COTTON STRIPED PANTS ➕ LINEN CROPPED CAMI ➕ BLAZER ➕ SANDALS

Outfit Details…Tuesday was my day in the office, and I honestly had no idea what to wear. As I’ve mentioned before, when that happens, I usually pick one piece I’m excited to wear and build the outfit around it. On Tuesday, that piece was my striped cotton pants from Daughters of India (a previous gift). Not exactly my typical workwear choice (I usually reserve these for the beach or more relaxed occasions), but I took it as a challenge to make them office-appropriate.
I paired them with a linen cropped cami, which I’ve worn with these pants before and loved. Then, to bring the look into work territory, I added a blazer—because, let’s face it, a blazer instantly elevates any outfit, and the more oversized, the better! I did hesitate a bit when it came to accessories, but instead of sticking with black accents, I decided to introduce another colour—brown. My tan sandals and chocolate brown suede tote bag complemented the outfit perfectly. I’m a big fan of three-colour outfits; they add a nice depth and balance to the look.
WEDNESDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = DENIM SHORTS➕LINEN CAMI ➕ SWEATER ➕ BIRKENSTOCKS

Outfit Details…I’ve really leaned into this outfit formula all summer, and since the weather is still so pleasant, I’m squeezing in as much wear as I can! Denim shorts will always be a staple in my wardrobe—they’re versatile, timeless, and easy to dress up or down. For a casual work-from-home day on Wednesday, I paired them with a white linen cami top I’ve been loving lately. It’s effortlessly chic—two of my favorite qualities in a piece. While the days are scorching, the mornings still have a bit of a chill, so I draped my Uniqlo cashmere crew neck sweater over my shoulders (seriously, the best value for money and amazing quality!). Normally, I’d go for sandals to complete the look, but on Wednesday, I was feeling the Birkenstock Bostons. And I have to say, I was so happy with how everything came together when I slipped them on!
THURSDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = COTTON MAXI SHIRT ➕ KNITTED VEST ➕ SANDALS
outfit details, Republic of Florence Margo crossbody bag*
Outfit Details…OK, this was definitely my favourite look of the whole week! There’s just something so elevated about a maxi skirt, don’t you think? On Thursday, I headed into the office and built my outfit around the skirt that felt both professional and stylish. Lately, I’ve been loving pairing it with a knit, but since it was still pretty warm out, I opted for my Dissh knitted vest instead—and I was so happy with how the look came together! The white and grey combo has quickly become a new favourite, and I’ll definitely be repeating it.
In the evening, I went to the theatre to see Cruel Intentions: 90’s Party (yes, it was as amazing as it sounds!!). Normally, I take any excuse to wear something new, especially if it’s an occasion to dress up, but I just couldn’t find an outfit that felt as good as the maxi skirt and knitted vest. So, instead of changing, I switched up the accessories—swapping my suede tote for a tan leather crossbody and adding more gold jewellery to complete the look. What do you think—would you have worn the same outfit for a night out?
FRIDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = LINEN PANTS ➕ STRIPED CROPPED TEE➕ SANDALS
Outfit Details…It’s been a busy few weeks around here, and Friday was the first time in a while that it was just me and my littlest one. We went out for breakfast together so he could enjoy his "coffee" (as he calls it), and then we wandered down to the beach to play in the sand and throw rocks in the water—pure bliss!
For a change, I decided to wear my black linen wide-leg pants, pairing them with my black-and-white striped crop tee—a combo I’ve worn before and absolutely love. Since it was a little chilly in the morning, I threw on my Sezane Will jacket in ecru, which perfectly tied in with the cream stripe on the top. If you’re on the hunt for a shacket, the Will jacket is such a great option. I finished the look with my well-worn tan Saltwater sandals and a couple of simple gold accessories. Just a relaxed, effortless vibe for a perfect morning out!
SATURDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = SHORTS ➕ CROPPED LINEN CAMI ➕ SWEATER ➕ SNEAKERS
Outfit Details…I may have jumped the gun on my favorite outfit, because this one came in a very close second! It’s another look I’ve had on repeat these past few weeks—and honestly, I’m totally OK with that! Saturday was my little girl's birthday party, and we spent the afternoon at the bowling alley with her sweet friends. I needed something comfy, and these shorts were just perfect—they’re high-waisted with a wide-leg opening and made from the softest cotton material (I can’t even explain how thrilled I was to rediscover them a couple of months ago buried deep in my drawers!).
I paired them with my trusty black linen cropped cami, and this time, I opted for my new Adidas SL72 sneakers. These have already been such a great purchase—so much so that I haven’t even reached for my Sambas in a while, and I’m honestly considering selling them. To tie in the brown tones on the sneakers, I added my favourite Sezane Gaspard cardigan in camel and a brown suede tote bag. The brown accents just worked so well, and I absolutely loved how this outfit came together!
SUNDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = DENIM SHORTS➕ LINEN VEST ➕ SANDALS
Outfit details…Sunday’s weather was absolutely miserable—cold, wet, and windy—a stark contrast to the wall to wall sunshine we’ve been spoiled with. And while I’ll take a sunny day any day, I have to admit, I was excited to pull on a pair of jeans and a cashmere sweater. It was that cold I even layered a white tee underneath too! I added some gold jewellery to elevate the look, and for the second day in a row, the Adidas sneakers made an appearance. My suede tote came along for the ride as we nipped out to the shops for a few essentials!

What lovely looks! I can’t seem to get enough of that gray knit vest from Diish, with those buttons, it’s fabulous! Sounds like a wonderful visit with your folks. Cherish those!
Great outfits! I’m definitely a linen girl so I love seeing more inspo for styling it. I loved the maxi skirt look and the green striped pants especially 💚
