Everything I wore last week | 41
Settling into my winter coat groove, debuting two new pairs of jeans, and finishing the week with an easy, undone look for Mother’s Day.
Hello lovely readers!
This week was all about ease, layering, and leaning into those little moments that make everyday dressing feel special. From a chilly city morning in my trusty Everlane wool coat to a sunny Friday adventure with my littlest (and a first outing for some new wide-leg jeans), each outfit reflected the rhythm of the week. I celebrated a dear friend’s 40th in a beautiful autumn-toned dress, kept things relaxed for Mother’s Day in my favourite striped shirt, and found myself reaching for pieces that felt both comfortable and considered. Here’s a full recap of what I wore last week—let me know which outfits you loved!
MONDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = WIDE LEG JEANS ➕ CAMI TOP ➕ CARDIGAN ➕ BIRKENSTOCKS
Outfit Details…. Monday was a beautiful, warm sunny day — such a treat! I started with an early morning reformer class (honestly, the best way to kick off the week), then quickly changed into this comfy WFH look before my 9am meeting: wide-leg jeans, a navy floral cami, and my trusty Sézane Emile cardigan for a bit of extra warmth in my office.
When I ducked out for some errands at lunchtime, I threw on my Birkenstocks — I flipping love these comfy shoes!
TUESDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = COTTON STRIPED PANTS ➕LINEN CROPPED CAMI ➕ SWEATER ➕ SANDALS

Outfit Details…I’ve been waiting for the right moment to wear this new striped shirt, and a day in the office felt like the perfect excuse! Button-downs can sometimes feel a bit too formal for me, so I paired it with something more relaxed — my Everlane barrel-leg jeans in washed black — and suddenly it felt very me.
To tie in the brown stripe, I added my woven flats and my chocolate suede Arket bag (still my go-to for fitting a laptop without sacrificing style). I threw on my trench for the commute, but truthfully, Melbourne was so warm I didn’t need it beyond that!
WEDNESDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = LEGGINGS ➕ TEE ➕ BARN JACKET ➕ SNEAKERS
outfit details, Barn Coat Vintage Orvis
Outfit Details…I worked from home on Wednesday and, after dropping all three kids off, treated myself to a coffee and a pre-work beach walk — exactly what I needed. I dressed for comfort with plans to change later… but that never happened, and honestly, I was totally fine with that. I kept it simple with a black base: my Lululemon Align leggings and a black tee. The key to making it feel more put together? A great jacket. I threw on my vintage Orvis barn jacket and my New Balance 327s, and called it good.
THURSDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = BARREL JEANS ➕ TEE ➕ CASHMERE SWEATER ➕ WOOL COAT ➕ WOVEN FLATS
Outfit Details… I had an early meeting in the city on Thursday, and it was the first morning that really felt chilly. Perfect excuse to pull out my Everlane wool coat — honestly, my best sale find of the season! Truth be told, I still needed it in the afternoon too. I loved the whole outfit layered up, but once the coat came off, I did feel a little underdressed… maybe next time I’ll swap the sweater and tee for a shirt instead? What do you think?
FRIDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = WIDE LEG JEANS ➕ CARDIGAN ➕ WOOL COAT ➕ CONVERSE
outfit details, Foxwood Oatmeal Whistler coat*
Outfit Details…Friday was my day off, the sun was shining, and I got to spend the whole day with my littlest — so we hopped on a train for a fun day exploring Melbourne and met my husband for udon noodles (so good!). I was fully in my coat groove last week, and Friday was the first outing for this beauty. I also wore my new wide-leg jeans — a last-minute find from the day before — and I’m so into this fit. I paired the two newbies with my Sezane Gaspard cardigan and ecru Converse high-tops. Easy, comfy, and just the right amount of put-together.
SATURDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = MAXI SHIRT DRESS ➕ LEATHER JACKET ➕ SANDALS

Outfit Details…The only dress I even considered for our lovely friend’s 40th birthday lunch was this gorgeous Bohemian Traders maxi shirt dress. I love the rich mix of autumnal tones, and the long sleeves made it perfect for a warm, sunny autumn day. I threw on my leather jacket to keep the look grounded in the season, even though I opted for summery sandals — which tied in perfectly with my tan crossbody bag.
SUNDAY
OUTFIT FORMULA = FLARE WIDE LEG JEANS➕ STRIPE SHIRT ➕ ALPACA SWEATER ➕ SANDALS

Outfit details…The final outfit of the week was a relaxed, effortless look for a laid-back Mother’s Day with my crew. I picked up these wide-leg flared jeans from Uniqlo on Friday and loved the easy, undone vibe they brought to the outfit. I’d originally planned to wear something a bit more fitted, but at the last minute, I reached for my striped shirt (again!) — it just felt right. I paired it with tan sandals, draped my charcoal alpaca crew neck over my shoulders for an extra layer, and finished the look with this beautiful burgundy tote to add a touch of interest.
